Vela makes it easy to collaborate on your shop’s listings. You can safely share access with trusted team members, virtual assistants, or partners to manage listings together—without exposing sensitive order or payment information.

1. Understand how multiple team members or VAs can use my account

Each shop can connect to only one Vela account, but you can link unlimited shops under that account and share access with your team. Vela is ideal for delegating listing management without giving teammates full access to your selling platform, because: 

  1. Team members can manage and update listings without accessing banking or order information.
  2. Your selling platform (Etsy, Shopify, etc.) does not see which shops are connected to the same Vela account or the IP addresses of users.
  3. Listings can be copied and managed across multiple shops and platforms, so your storefronts can all be managed from one dashboard.

Anyone with your Vela login will have full access to account features, including:

  • Scoring + AI Optimization: Improve your SEO fields with smart scoring + optimization
  • Bulk Edit: Update prices, photos, titles, descriptions and all other listing details across hundreds of listings at once
  • Profiles: Custom templates you create to quickly apply changes across similar listings
  • CSV Import + Export: Edit and create listings via spreadsheet, ideal for managing large catalogs
  • Studio: Generate AI backgrounds, manage, replace and delete images used in many listings in one central place, crop + expand with AI, and more
  • Copy + Merge: Duplicate listings or your whole catalog to other shops and channels, connect similar listings across platforms, and optimize with AI as you copy
  • Create new listings
  • Delete listings individually and in bulk

Though users cannot view or manage orders and banking information, you should only share your Vela login with trusted team members.

2. Connect shops

You can connect unlimited shops to a single Vela account.
Each connected shop can have its own plan level (Lite or Plus) and settings.

To connect a new shop:

  1. Click the Shops Menu at the top left of your workspace.
  2. Select Add Shop and follow the prompts to connect.
  3. If you reconnect a previously inactive shop, your 7-day Plus trial will automatically restart.

Tip: You can manage all connected shops from one account and share that single login with your team as needed.

3. Grant team access and share login information

Vela currently supports one login per account.
If you’d like someone else to help manage your listings, you can safely share your account login credentials.

Many users invite a virtual assistant (VA) or staff member to work inside Vela so they can:

  • Create, edit, and optimize listings
  • Apply Profiles or Bulk Edits
  • Schedule updates and monitor changes

Because Vela only interfaces with your product listings, team members cannot access orders, payouts, or other private data in Etsy or Shopify.

Privacy Note: Etsy does not see the IP address, login information, or other shops connected to your Vela account.

4. Change the email address on my account or transfer my shop to a different account

If you’d like to change the email linked to your Vela account—or move your shop to a different email for organizational reasons—there are two options:

To update your login email:

  1. Go to Account Settings → Email.
  2. Enter your new email address.
  3. Confirm the change using the verification email sent to your inbox.

Once verified, your new email becomes your login.

To transfer your shop to another account:
Create a new Vela account with the desired email address, then contact us with:

  • The shop name you’d like transferred
  • The old and new email addresses
